LocalType may not use the microphone

Voice typing needs microphone access. That permission has not been granted, or it has been withdrawn afterwards.

  1. 1 Open Android’s settings, go to Apps and pick LocalType.
  2. 2 Open Permissions and set Microphone to allowed.
  3. 3 Go back to LocalType and try again.

If tapping the microphone does nothing at all and no question appears, Android has the permission set to “don’t ask again”. In that case the settings screen above is the only way in.
